Salut de Smyrne,

A Peaceful Greeting from Izmir to the World!

Taking its name from the old postcards of Izmir, the band Salut de Smyrne sends a peaceful "Hello" from Izmir to the world. Coming together in Izmir, Salut de Smyrne follows the music of the peoples who have lived on these lands, seeing music as a unifying and integrative bond between different cultures. Their repertoire features songs in Turkish, Greek, Arabic, and Ladino, which can be described as old Spanish.

The band embraces a mission to contribute to cultural heritage by performing the music of communities living in the vast Mediterranean Basin. Participating in significant festivals and cultural events, the group also emphasizes the cultural richness within Anatolia. They have taken part in both domestic and international events that promote Izmir and the Mediterranean region.
